The awareness of benefits of using Aloe Vera can be traced back to hundreds of years back. Aloe is talked about at many places in the Bible as well. It is said that Aristotle convinced Alexander the Great to conquer the island of Socotra which was a rich source of Aloe plants. - Five Aloe Vera leaves
- One chicken, that is chopped into in chunks
- Two dozen crushed white peppercorns
- Five red dates
- Water – two liters
- Salt, according to your taste
Wash the Aloe Vera leaves and split the skin apart. Cut the leaves into a few slices.
Mix the chicken, crushed peppercorns, red dates and water, and double boil this mixture for about two hours.
After the material has boiled properly, add Aloe Vera slices and continue to boil for another half an hour. Add the salt as per your taste and the hot soup is ready.
Aloe Vera has been recognized for its medicinal values for thousands of years.
The great Roman pharmacologist, Dioscorides was the first person who did extensive study on Aloe Vera and its benefits. He recommended using Aloe Vera in one of his books and added that Aloe Vera recipes are capable to induce sleep, and to heal injury burns and bruises. He added that it can also cure stomach infection.
The most important use of Aloe Vera recipes is in treating skin infections. Herbal specialists advocate the use of Aloe Vera to cure constipation as well. Mix all this stuff in a dark bottle and put it in your refrigerator. Take 50 ml of this mixture about thirty minutes before having meals for thrice a day.

The daily dose of almost all Aloe Vera recipes depends on the extent of your problem, and the general health of your body.
- First aid: You can use Aloe Vera gel as a first aid for mild fire burns, bruises, injuries and skin allergy. If you have this plant at home, peel of its skin and apply the gel on affected area. Aloe Vera in its raw form is an excellent material to treat such small injuries.
