Trifla (Triphala)

Trifla is rich in iron, manganese, calcium and Vitamin A. It is excellent for the eyes and is very good for the digestive system. Trifla purifies the blood, increases the haemoglobin level in the blood and increase body resistance. It is good for the hair and makes it shiny and healthy. Bitter in taste, the regular intake of trifla, improves overall health. Trifla can be steamed in a pressure cooker. Add fried onions, garlic, chillies and masalas to taste. Serves as a good vegetable to go along with other gravies, chapattis and rice. Trifla is bitter in taste but is highly recommended for its medicinal properties.
