  • Almonds - Almonds oil is good, both for dry skin and dry hair. For large pores mix a tablespoonful of almond meal with enough water to make it easy to spread, and rub on the skin. Leave it on as a mask for 15 minutes. Rinse off with tepid water. For dry hair, warm to two tablespoons of almond oil in a cup, standing in a pan of hot (not boiling) water Massage the oil into hair, cover the scalp with a plastic bag, then with a hot damp towel and leave for 30 minutes. Remove oil with a milk shampoo. To soften dry skin of hands and face, add a cup of cold milk into 20 gms of ground almond. Stir thoroughly, then strain. Now add 10 grms of sugar. Use the mixture to smoothen face and hands. Leave for 15 minutes. Wash off with tepid water.
  • Barley - The powdered variety of barely can be mixed with two teaspoonfuls of lemon juice and a little milk to make a facemask. This will improve the circulation of blood and give a deep cleanse.
