Complications of Cold
Cold is considered to be mild problem which is solved with its own. But in some cases, this may lead to bacterial infections of the middle ear or sinuses. High fever, significantly swollen glands, cough with mucus, and severe sinus pain with irritation may indicate a complication or more serious illness that requires visit to the doctor.
Otitis media, sinus infections, earache, pneumonia, bronchitis and sinusitis are some of the known complications to name them. Other most common complications may include tonsillitis, laryngitis, pyrexia, pharyngitis and rhinorrhoea.
Ayurveda believes, if cold left untreated, it enters into the throat and also sometimes ears. Further it may enter into the lungs and produce the major disease like pneumonia.
