Causes of Diarrhea

Modern science believes this to be infection oriented. There are many bacteria and viruses that can cause diarrhea. Certain antibiotics may interfere with intestine micro flora and produce diarrhea.

  • Sensitivity: Some people are sensitive to certain food and beverages. Many of them are unable to digest lactose, the sugar found in milk. Milk causes diarrhea to them. This also depends on the quantity consumed. Like even a healthy man consumes the milk in over quantity, the intestines move rapidly and the situation turns up into diarrhea.

People have tendency to develop the diarrhea after they have surgery of stomach or of the gall bladder. This happens because the food moves quickly through the digestive stomach or the bile secretion is increased in the colon that is followed by diarrhea.
