EYEBROW WAXING

Unless you have very sensitive skin, waxing is a quick and relatively easy alternative to plucking your eyebrows. Here are some simple steps for you to try at home

EYEBROW WAXING INSTRUCTIONS

STEP 1-Buy a professional waxing kit - basically a jar or tub of wax which can be warmed up in boiling water and applied with a small applicator or spatula.

STEP 2-Warm up the wax to optimum temperature and use the small spatula to apply a thin layer of wax to the growth. . For the first application, apply wax with the hair growth under the brows (i.e. in the same direction that the hair grows in). You don’t need to use much, and you should not let the wax dry.

Please Note: Have small amounts of wax on the tip part of the spatula so wax does not drip while wax is being applied. It is okay to join small wax patch applications together, so you remove a complete strip under or above the brows in one go.

STEP 3-Allow wax to set then remove against the hair growth while supporting the skin.

USEFUL TIPS

If you need to wax above the eyebrows, apply wax against or with the hair growth and remove against the hair growth

Never wax above the eyebrow, only ever shape from below. Waxing from under the brow will widen your eyes and help to get the line even. This will make you look younger and much more glamorous if done correctly! As soon as it is applied remove the wax against the hair growth, (i.e. in the opposite direction that the hair grows in). This is done by gently smoothing a piece of cotton muslin over the waxed area, pulling the skin taut with one hand, and pulling the muslin off with the other.

It is a good idea to take a little hair off at a time, especially if you have fairly this growth. You will be surprised how much difference a little hair removal will make to your appearance

WARNING:

Eyebrow waxing is something best left to the professionals only. It a pretty risky at-home treatment (molten wax near your eyes could be a recipe for A&E!), since the precision involved in applying wax to the brow area is something that takes specific training and years of experience to really master. Add to that the issue that many people can have skin sensitivities towards depilatory wax (your peeling skin being a case in point here, I suspect) and you're in a potential minefield of beauty nightmares!

WAXING VS THREADING

More painful Waxing is found to be more painful than threading. Since threading only targets the individual hairs, skin irritation is kept to a minimum, unlike waxing, which often causes unnecessary stretching and removal of the skin’s delicate top layers.

No Perfection Threading is very precise and allows to have a greater control than waxing, resulting in a better brow shape for you!

Not Natural Threading is 100% natural, there are no artificial waxes, chemicals, or invasive techniques used.

Anti-Acne The majority of people that breakout from waxing tend to not break out from threading. Also, threading is completely safe and dermatologist-recommended for individuals who are currently using medications like Accutane and Retin-A.

Harmful for skin Warning: waxing can tug, pull, stretch, and even remove the delicate skin on your face, eventually facilitating in the development of wrinkles! But there is good news, threading does none of this! So instead of torturing yourself with waxing, choose threading which will leave you hairless and smooth!

Less safe - Threading is better for your skin. When you wax you not only pull the hair but also pull on the skin which is very delicate and after a while it will become saggy

Redness and no proper shape-Unlike threading, waxing makes your eye area red afterwards (for a longer period of time)and its painful. Also, the shaping is not as accurate as threading is.
