Alopecia is nothing but loosing the hairs from the head. This could be from anywhere from the head. Khaalitya (say khaa lee t yaa) literally means an empty or flat. When a person is flat or smooth or empty by hairs is known as khaalitya. There are some other closely related conditions like indralupta (say in dra loo p ta; meaning hair loss from one particular place on head) and paalitya (premature graying hairs).
