Basic Weight Loss Tips




Being overweight is a common problem being faced by millions of individuals across the globe. It is also a high risk factor for several chronic ailments such as hypercholesterolemia, cardiovascular disease, arthritis, diabetes etc. The main factors responsible for this epidemic called obesity are sedentary lifestyle, poor eating habits and lack of exercise. If you are looking to lose weight you must change your lifestyle and resort to a healthier living.

Basic weight loss solution:
The basis of any weight loss program or technique is that you must bring about an overall change in your dietary pattern and take out adequate time for exercise. Remember that any form of exercise is better than none. You don’t need to hit the gym and toil for endless hours sweating away to glory but you certainly need to get a pair of good sports shoes and try brisk walking, skipping, cycling or any other form of outdoor activity. Investing in a yoga mat is also a good idea. The deep breathing techniques and stretching exercises associated with yoga also help promote the overall fitness level of the body.

Diet: If you are looking to initiate weight loss, you must understand that you cannot shed all those calories and loads of fat overnight. Thus, you must avoid rushing in for any crash diet program and resort to a healthier diet pattern that is filling as well as healthy. Ditch all those bad fats and replace them with good fats.

All junk, processed, deep fried and packaged foods should be kicked out from your diet and must be replaced with loads of fresh fruits and vegetables that are not only low in calories but are also embedded with the vital vitamins and minerals. You also need to chuck out all the bad carbs from the diet and stick to the good ones. Avoid consuming white sugar, white flour, polished rice and polished cereals.

Split your meals in 4-5 portions instead of 3 portions and chew the food properly while eating.  You can always form the practice of munching on a fresh fruit or eating something nutritious as a mid-meal snack to avoid all those cravings for junk food.
