What causes a nose bleed?

Trauma to the nose such as nose picking or an injury to the nose such as getting hit on the nose can cause the nose to bleed. Nosebleeds may also occur if you are used to living in a low altitude and travel to a destination in a higher altitude.

You will know when you have a nosebleed, when you experience bleeding from either one or both of your nostrils. The onset of a nosebleed can be recognized by excessive swallowing, a feeling of weakness, or drowsiness.
