You should not really be surprised on hearing that your diet has a big role in causing bad breath. It is quite common that the food stuff we eat become a cause of problems. The issue of bad breath is one of them of course.The type of food we eat is very important. It decides about our health and also prevents us from many types of diseases.

However, on the flip side, if you do not take care of your daily diet, chances are that you worsen the picture for yourself. Bad breath can be controlled in an easy way, provided you about the actual cause of it. Most of the people just try to suppress this problem by using different types of things including mouth fresheners, gels, chewing gums, so on and so forth.

Suppression is not the treatment for bad breath. The problem strikes back after a few hours when the effect of your mouth freshener or a gum fades off. Rather, you should look for a permanent solution instead of going for just a few temporary solutions.

There are all the chances that you get bad breath because of some remaining food particles in your mouth . you have to make sure that you are washing off your mouth after eating food. This will help you in avoiding bad breath. There are people who smoke or who are in habit of drinking alcoholic products. This can turn out to be a major cause of bad breath.

If you really want to prevent bad breath, control on smoking and alcohol consumption as well. Then, there might be certain types of food items that cause bad breath for you. These food items include onions, and several types of spices. In order to prevent and treat the issue of bad breath, you have to make sure that you avoid taking these products. Take a special care that you do not take these food items in a raw or uncooked form.

Though, it is good to eat raw onions in the summer season. It can help you in preventing summer related diseases and heat strokes. At the same time, they can cause bad breath. Here, you have to decided for yourself.
