Desktop Yoga
Desktop Yoga is a new concept in the healthy world of Yoga. It can easily be practised from the seat of your offices. This type of yoga is perfectly suitable for those people who spend most of their time at their workplace. If a person spends more than forty hours at workplace, it will surely cause several ailments or pain.
One is surely going to feel pain in head, feet, back, shoulders, legs, neck and burning sensation and pain in eyes. Constantly, sitting at one place for several hours will make your whole body stiff, thereby making your entire body rigid in movement. Desktop Yoga can be easily practised even from the office desk.
Most of the time, we experience pain in our eyes, legs, hands, shoulders, neck, back side of our body, etc for the reason that there is lack of movement of these body parts.
If we don’t have enough movements for our fingers or our entire hand which includes wrists for longer duration, then the muscles of these parts becomes rigid in movement which causes less circulation of blood in these areas. For instance, if we work on typewriter or keyboard for longer duration, our fingers and hands will feel acute pain.
The best solution for this is to sit on your chair and put your legs easy and flat on the floor and ease off your shoulders a bit. Put your hands on the lap in addition to interlocking the fingers of both your hands. Inhale a long breadth and try to compress both your palms.
As soon as you breathe out, stretch out your arms upwards but make sure that you don’t crumple your shoulder. However if you are unable to do so, keep your arms a bit low. You can try this posture for 10-15 minutes two times in a day.
