Diabetes: Warm Up Before Exercise

Diabetes is a troublesome condition, if you do not practice discipline and order. You have to keep certain things in mind, in order to avoid problems of sorts. While it is very clear that you have to observe your diet, it is also expected that you follow a balanced exercise program for yourself.

Life does not end with diabetes, or it is not something that makes you someone different from other people. You have to follow a healthy lifestyle and there is no way, diabetes can affect your normal routine of life.

In order to get rid of excess fat inside your body, you are supposed to exercise for at least thirty minutes, for five times in a week. A regular regime of exercise results in controlled levels of insulin in your body and lead to far better control of diabetes this way. Now you would like to know, what form of exercise is most applicable to you, and how you should start with them.

Well, start with a nice warm up. First, stand straight with feet about ten inches apart and then raise your arms in the direction upwards. Hold this posture for around half a minutes and then bring your arms down in a slow and consistent manner.

Repeat this act for three to four times, without taking too long in breaks in between. This is not a very exhaustive one and you can do it quite easily. Then you can do neck rolling, in order to prevent any neck stretches later during the actual exercising.

Do this for about a couple of minutes. The third exercise is about touching your toe. For this, you have to sit straight and then have to touch your toes, giving a stretch to your body.

This warm up should take some five to seven minutes of effort, and after doing this, you can switch to your regular cardiovascular exercises as suggested by your fitness guru. Do not skip warm up in a hurry to perform cardiovascular exercises. This can have negative impact on your health.
