Dietary Habits For A Slim Figure

Let’s have a look at the diet part first, as this certainly is more important for losing fat. One has to develop dietary habits, keeping the following in mind:

It’s always better to eat small meals at short intervals rather than eating a few heavy meals separated by long intervals.

Breakfast should never be skipped. Try to include fresh fruits and or juices with some cereal food. It’s good to be having milk or yogurt, but with zero or minimum fat.

Include more leafy green vegetables and whole cereals in your meals. Rather than having fast foods, it’s healthier to have green salads and seasonal fruits. If you find these too dull, add a few drops of lemon juice to get that zing.

Red meats should be avoided. Try more fish or lean meat.

Adapt healthier eating styles. As much as possible, go to the table for eating and switch off the TV while eating to concentrate on what you are eating. It’s better to eat slowly rather than gulping your food down. It facilitates absorption of nutrients present in any food. Further, you’ll realize that slower eating makes you full even with smaller food helpings.

Reduce your intake of artificial sugars and flavors. If you happen to have a sweet tooth, replace that dessert with fruit. Gradually you are sure to develop a taste for natural sweetness of various food items.

Remember, there is no healthier drink than water. Drink plenty of it.

Developing a taste for healthier food has to be accompanied with a regular exercise regimen. Make a beginning with an exercise that you like. You may start with walking or swimming and gradually graduate to other strenuous exercises that must be started under the supervision of an expert before being done on your own.
