Eating and exercising are the two basic fundamentals of gaining shape and remaining healthy for entire life. You actually do not have to spend several hours in the gym, if you are able to strike the right balance of food and workout. Surprisingly, a large number of people just become obsessed of workouts and then they spend several hours in the gym almost every day.
This is actually counterproductive for your health. You are not required to spend several hours in the gym everyday. This way, you might end up losing your body weight and the results will not be that effective as you wanted.
Basically, you need to have a balance of diet, exercise and rest. None of these factors work in isolation and you have to have a rational outlook towards all of them. If you are missing any of these elements, you are losing something. It is advisable that you have plenty of energetic food items during the day.
In fact, it is always good to start the day with a carbohydrate and protein rich breakfast. So, just go for bananas, apples, eggs, breads, butter and milk in the morning.
If you are looking to gain muscle, then you actually need lots of protein. Eat boiled eggs with milk and take some bananas. This will provide you with loads of energy, proteins and carbohydrates. You can go for dry fruits and nuts later during the day. You can always keep them in the pocket and keep consuming them while you are at the office or roaming around in the market.
Of course, you can keep them in your pocket while you workout at the gym. Also, you can take some water mixed with glucose as this provides you with sufficient energy and keeps the ball rolling for you. You will be able to do more workout and at the same time, keep your body well hydrated.
As we discussed earlier, you need to provide your body with sufficient rest and a sleep of at least eight hours is a must.
