Hands are the parts of the body most used and least cared for. People instead focus on their face and hair. Below are simple tips that will help you have soft, beautiful hands.
Keep your hand soft: Wear gloves while doing any work that involves a lot of water or physically challenging work to ensure that your hands do not get rough. Moisturize your hands before doing the dishes, washing clothes or gardening. Almond oil or olive oil are both effective in keeping skin soft. Other oils or lotions may also be used. Apply the oil to your skin before doing any form of work. The oil forms a layer over the skin and does not let the water dry out the skin. The oil also gets sealed into the hand and softens the skin.

Remove dead skin: Regularly exfoliate your skin to remove dead skin cells. You can use oats as a scrub to maximize exfoliation. Sea salt and lemon can be used on the hands to bleach the area, remove a tan or minimize other forms of discoloration. It also softens the hands.

Keeping hands clean: To keep hands clean one must regularly wash them with hot water. To ensure that the water is at proper temperature, leave it running for at least ten seconds. Use a rough cloth to dry your hands. This helps to improve blood circulation. Create a mixture of equal parts honey and olive oil and apply it to the hands while they are still wet. This helps to seal in moisture. Afterwards, wrap your hands in plastic and then in cloth. This generates heat which softens the skin on the hands.

Nail care: Not only should one keep your hands clean, but you should also keep your nails clean. Take milk that has been warmed to a temperature you can bear and soak your hands for five to ten minutes. This helps hydrate the skin and the calcium in the milk strengthens the nails. This helps the individual avoid breaks and chips. The lactic acid in the milk also helps exfoliate dead skin cells.
