Home Remedy For Blackheads
Blackheads can be extremely annoying and difficult to get rid of. These black colored blocks that form on the surface of the skin are actually a type of acne and are caused by the hazardous combination of overactive sebaceous glands and dirt.
They can make an appearance anywhere on the face, neck, arms, legs, thighs, chest or any other part of the body. As compared to pimples or zits, the number of blackheads is always higher.
The first and foremost way to get rid of blackheads is to maintain proper hygiene. You must wash your face at least a few times everyday, but take care and don’t over wash it or it will result in excessive dryness which can also increase in the release of excessive sebum and cause blackheads.
Honey:
This is an excellent home remedy for treating the most stubborn of blackheads. Take about 1 tsp of warm honey and apply it on the blackheads. Leave it on for about 15 minutes and wash off with lukewarm water. You can also add 1 tsp lime juice to honey along with some salt and massage the face or blackhead prone area with this. Rinse off after 15 minutes.
Rice paste:
Take 1 tbsp rice powder and add rosewater and milk to it. Make a smooth paste and apply all over your face. Rub gently to exfoliate the skin. Rinse with warm water after 15 minutes.
Gram flour paste:
Take 1 tbsp of gram flour and add a pinch of turmeric to it. Make a paste using rosewater and raw milk. Apply it all over the blackheads and wash off when it dries completely. You can also add a few drops of tea tree oil to this paste.
Oatmeal face mask:
Take a steamer or a bowl of boiling hot water and place your face above it. Cover your head with a towel so that the steam is unable to escape. Steam your face for about 5-7 minutes.
Pat your face dry. Then apply a paste made of oatmeal and rosewater all over your face. Massage it using circular motion and play close attention to the blackhead covered areas. Wash of after 15 minutes with cold water.
