Computers have brought us countless benefits and have made our lives easy. However, most of us are dependent on computers for our daily work. You have to sit before your laptop all the time and in fact, the nature of your job is absolutely sedentary, not requiring any movement at all.

If you keep on avoiding problems, they turn out to be disorders related with joint pains, eyes and even respiration and digestive system. All these problems are avoidable if you bring a program in practice from the beginning itself.
Do not wait until things start going wrong and slip out of your control. Always try to maintain a correct posture while you set yourself up on your office chair. Ensure that you are not using different chairs all the time.
These days, office seating arrangements are often flexible and chairs keep on moving here and there. This is a small matter but put your body in an uncomfortable situation. So make a gentle attempt of securing your chair well adjusted as per your needs.
Do not stick to a rigid posture for a long period. The case may be that you sit in quite an open place from where many people keep on passing through or you might be having a customer facing role and have to sit strict upright all the time.
Look for an opportunity to stretch your muscles and relax your back, neck and legs. Go for a brisk walk and bring a glass of water for yourself, from the office pantry.
If your office campus has some green pastures around, try that you look at them quite often. This will provide soothing relief to your eyes. To ease strain from your eyes, close them tightly and open slowly. Do this for 4-5 times every couple of hours. This will take a couple of minutes but you will find a dramatic improvement in handling stress and feel improvement in vision as well.
