How to Avoid Vaginal Cuts
Vaginal cuts are very common for those women who are sexually active. Though vaginal cuts are not any serious health issue, but it should be prevented and cured properly as it might make sexual experience bitter and troublesome.
Tears and cuts in vagina are very common in any woman after sexual intercourse. Though it doesn’t have negative effect in women’s health, but it has major impact on sexual pleasure. Due to vaginal cut, women may feel very uncomfortable and irksome due to the friction during intercourse.
Causes of vaginal Cuts
There are several reasons for vaginal cuts in any woman.
Vaginal dryness is the main reason known for vaginal cut or tear. Vagina produces lubricant, which prevents friction during the intercourse. If for any reason vagina is dry and then it is more prone to vaginal cut or tear.
Vaginal dryness happens:
Menopause: Women in her childbearing age have more vaginal moisture than women at menopausal stage. It is due to the level of estrogen hormone, which starts reducing with the age. During childbearing age, fluids in vagina are more even when no sexual excitement is there.
Foreplay: Proper foreplay plays good role in more vaginal fluid secretion. Inadequate amount of foreplay causes less secretion of vaginal fluid causing vaginal cut due to dryness.
History of abuse: Though it is not more common in women. But is it said that if any sexual harassment or abuse takes place during any time of life, then women are not likely to get aroused easily during sex due to emotional discomfort. Thus, less arousal causes less fluid to secrete leading to dryness in vagina.
Position for sex: During the sexual act, the kind of position is being adopted directly becomes the reason for vaginal cuts or tears.
Sex toys: Certain sex toys, which have sharp edges or the material used for it, have negative effect in vagina.
Prevent Vaginal Cuts
Certain preventive measure can be taken to stop vaginal cuts
Lubricants: To avoid dryness in vagina, many lubricants can be used for more comfort and less friction.
Adequate foreplay: Proper and adequate amount of foreplay plays good role to avoid dryness in vagina by secreting more vaginal fluid.
Sexual position: For heterosexual couples, certain sexual positions are helpful to avoid vaginal cuts. For example, women on top is more appropriate position to stop vaginal cut as in this position women have more control over it.
