Imperatives for Fighting out Blood Cancer

Leukemia, also known as blood cancer, is a lethal disease that can be prevented through a number of ways. Some certain types of modern age drugs are also seen as a cause of this dreaded ailment.

These drugs include those used in radiotherapy, or surgeries done for the purpose of organ transplant.

Because of a weakened immune system, children are most prone to blood cancer. This disease is classified under two categories viz. acute or chronic. It impedes the normal functioning of blood cells in the human body and result in a situation for which even the most advanced medical technologies do not have answers.

The biggest problem in treating cancer is the mental state of the patient. At first, the early detection of cancer helps in treating the ailments during the initial stages themselves. The patient, however, has to admit that he is suffering from a deadly disease and he has to win over it in a systematic manner.

Hardly there is any attention on patient’s diet and routine lifestyle. As a result, a patient and his family members also put their entire focus on consuming all prescribed medicines and the time comes when a patient starts eating medicines even more than the food.

Here, Ayurveda suggests a cheerful lifestyle accompanied by moderate exercise and nutritious food. A leukemia patient not only needs to restore normal functioning of the red blood cells but also has to increase the white blood cells count in the body. Psychological weakness of a patient, thus, needs to be treated alongside the physical one.
