It is generally perceived that brain remains constant throughout one’s life. You might find that intelligence is something that comes natural and it is not possible to go beyond a limit. A number of neuroscience studies, however, have proved that your brain actually keeps evolving with each of your thought and action. It keeps on learning new things and develops continuously.
This is really interesting as you never thought about this aspect. You had yur entire focus on your physical fitness and you were following an exercise regimen in a religious manner. What about brain, then? You would rather wonder waht you can do for your brain.
There are so many options for developing and toning your body muscles but nothing for your mental health. No, it is not correct. You do have some options for helping your brain to do its best.
Meditation is of course the most proven and efficient way of unleashing the actual power of your brain. You might have heard of stories wherein people had won the world with their mental abilities. In fact, there are certain streams in Marshall Arts and Kung Fu, which talk about gaining mental strength quite a lot. These facts establish the efficacy and need for mental exercises. Now, the biggest question for you is that how and from where you can start with it.
Well, this starts with discipline and ends with the same. You have to spare some moments of peace for yourself, anytime during the day. Just try to take out about half-an-hour wherein you are free from all your worries and responsibilities. Find your solace in any corner of your home and then sit in a very relaxed manner for some time. Forget about all your inhibitions and focus within yourself. You can remember your Lord, with no second thought in mind.
Ideally, the time just before sun rise is ideal to do this. Your family members would be sleeping at this time and you do not have anything to do at that time. Starting the day like this can bring many good things for you. You would find a new zest for life and your performance at work will also be enhanced.
