Menopause is medical terms is not a disease but rather a physiological change brought about by cessation of the menstrual cycle. If women in their middle ages begin consuming 1 tsp of licorice powder every day they can considerably minimize the ill effects of menopause. Indian spikenard is another natural product that can be consumed in small quantities (2 milligram) to eliminate complications related to menopause.

Severe deficiency of calcium can be replenished with a daily dosage comprising 1000 units vitamin D, 500 milligram magnesium and 2 grams calcium.
