Also, milk helps in keeping your mouth moist. Salt has the properties that help in retaining water in the mouth. On the other hand, free sugars increase the chances of tooth decaying and you have all the reasons to control your sugar intake this way. The same stands true for other fermentable carbohydrates that make you prone to oral diseases. Instead, focus on enhancing your vitamin C intake along with foods rich in calcium.
