The outbreak of rainy season is a matter of joy after facing so many months of summer season. Everyone enjoys the onset of rains, which provides a relief from all the troubles of hot sunny days.

However, along with several reasons of joy, a change in weather also brings various types of ailments with it. The chances of water borne diseases go high and doctors find a sudden rise in patients suffering from different types of infections. Here, many such infections are related with skin. So, what should you do to keep yourself away from a dermatologist?

The first and foremost thing is cleanliness. Do not apply oil on your skin, especially face. Instead use herbal body lotion. If you apply oil, your skin will remain oily throughout the day. This way you will allow your skin to accumulate dust and different other harmful elements. Since your face is exposed all the time, there are all the chances that you pick up an infection on it. Therefore, try to the extent possible that you use a good herbal face cream.

If you have got wet due to rains, dry yourself up, as soon as possible. Do not think that since you are already washed up with rain water there is no need to wash up your face and hands.

In fact, it is advisable that you take a bath after getting wet due to rain water. Reason number one is that it wash out all rain water from your skin, hair and head. This will prevent rain water from being absorbed by your head, which otherwise become a cause of headache, fever and related troubles.

Another reason is that you will save your skin from the contact of any harmful elements contained by the rain water. Studies have shown that these days rain water carries bacteria and with change in the global climate, it is also becoming acidic in nature.

Thus gone are the days when people used to play around with the rain water for hours. Today, you need to get rid of it at the earliest. Try that you are carrying umbrella or rain coat or both, when going out. A bit of negligence on this part can become a cause of trouble for you.
