Everybody wants a beautiful and clear skin. Some care for it casually and some go to all possible extents to get it. Naturally, skin reflects your overall well being and health. However, what suits your friend doesn’t mean that it will suit your skin too.
Furthermore, each individual has different genetic make up which differentiates you from other person. Looking after yourself according to your constitution can present you with all that you desire. According to ayurveda, body types can be divided in three categories calles vata, pitta and kapha.
People with Vata constitution have the skin that is prone to dryness and pigmentation. As their skin type is already dry, they need to avoid caffeine. Consume sesame or sesame oil and coconut oil as they have the warming effects. Eat ginger, garlic and black pepper on daily basis to improve the blood circulation. Have dry fruits like almonds, raisins, figs and walnuts.
If you get the acne, rashes, sunburns and skin infections frequently and you also get dandruff on your scalp you have the Pitta constitution. Drinking tea and coffee in too much amount can increase the acidity level of your body which can result in skin rashes and acnes.
Detoxification of liver once every fortnight is helpful in relieving heat from the body as the liver is connected with the overflow of heat of the body. It can do wonders to your health and it will reflect on your skin too. Follow the diet consisting of fruits, vegetable juices and herbal drinks for detoxification process.
Include rice in your diet because it has that cooling effect. Go for the brown rice or unpolished one as it has iron, vitamin B complex and natural fiber. If you are a vegetarian, it is good for your skin, if not avoid non-vegetarian food items.
The last thing comes the Kapha constitution. People with this body type have the best skin type. They do not have to take care of their skin so much as compared to others. Whatever is your skin type, include all kinds of vitamins and proteins that is found in sprouts and tofu.
