Skin Care Tips
Adapting a skin care regimen greatly depends on a person’s skin type. So find out if you have oily, dry, normal or a combination of oily and dry skin. This makes choosing the products you will regularly use for taking care of your skin easy.
When you are done, follow these skin care regimen for perfect healthy skin.
Cleansing must be on top of the list
As soon as you know your skin type, buy the best skin cleanser suitable for you. Normally, dry skin responds well to creamy cleanser and clear cleanser is usually a great choice for people with oily skin.
As experts recommend, cleansing must be done at night to remove dirt that has accumulated on your face. Loosen it and open your clogged pores by washing your face with warm water. Next, apply your cleanser and rinse again with warm water. You can also try cold cream, if your skin is dry. You can do this routine even without washing your face. Just simply wipe it off.
When you wake up in the morning, remove excess oil from your face by washing your face once again with warm water. Never use cold water on your face as it could break skin capillaries.
Exfoliate your skin
Include this in your skin care routine at least once a week. There are different types of exfoliation: the chemical peel, microdermabrasion and retinoids. Microdermabrasion involves using exfoliating solution that rubs off dead skin from your face. Apply gently.
Exfoliating with chemical peel is very effective but pretty costly. Try using over-the-counter do-it-yourself chemical peel. Retinoid (Retin-A or Renova), is exfoliation by removing dead skin cells while stimulating the skin to generate collagen.
If you prefer applying toner afterwards, then do it. However, you can skip it if you find your face responding perfectly to your exfoliating product.
Moisturize your skin
This is a necessity for all skin types, except for those with acne. Moisturizer traps moisture into the skin and therefore prevents skin dehydration. Do this every time you feel tightening in your skin. Never over-moisturize to avoid clogging pores.
Sunscreen protect your skin
Never leave your home without putting sunscreen. It protects your skin from the harmful rays of the sun and climatic conditions that cause wrinkles.
As sunscreen has powerful ingredients meant to react with the sun, it should not be used at night. Experts suggest using two moisturizers: one with SPF for use during day and one that is best for night.
