Sugar Scrubs

Sugar is a natural scrub. It is gentle on the skin too. Sugar is soothing and it contains water also. It is beneficial for all skin types. The sugar scrub improves the texture of the skin instantly.

Here are some very simple skin treatments with sugar

Take half a cup of sugar. Take either olive or coconut oil. Virgin coconut oil gives extremely good results. Mix these two well. Apply all over the skin in a circular motion. Wash well using soap. This scrub can be used twice a week.

Take half a cup of white cane sugar. Pour enough glycerine to moisten the sugar. Add two teaspoons of aloe Vera juice, one teaspoon pure lemon juice, one or two cut vitamin e capsules and ground hibiscus powder. Mix well all the ingredients. Massage gently into the skin. Leave on for 3 to 4 minutes before scrubbing. This will make the skin extremely soft and glowing.

Take one ripe banana, 3 table spoons of sugar and ¼ teaspoons any favourite essential oil.  Mash the ingredients together with a spatula into a paste. Do not make it too watery. Apply all over the body. Gently massage for some time. Rinse off with warm water.

Here is yet another sugar scrub. The spices contained in this scrub give a lingering fragrance. This is good for men and women alike. But do not use on acne affected skin.

Take one cup of organic brown sugar and one cup of white granulated sugar, ¾ cup of almonds and soybeans, 2 teaspoons each of cinnamon, dry ginger, nutmeg and cardamom powder. Also take 40 drop of any essential oil. Mix all the ingredients using a blender. Make it a fine smooth powder.

Add the essential oil drop by drop. Finally again blend well. Store the mixture in an airtight container. For each bath half a cup of scrub will be enough. Massage well into the body and rinse well.

This is another sugar scrub. Take half a cup of sugar.  Add enough fresh chopped tomato to moisten the sugar. Add two table spoons of yogurt. Mix well. Apply to the skin. Let it remain on the skin for ten minutes. Rinse with warm water.
