Anyone can have beautiful thin legs provided they are willing to work for them. A simple walk or jog will not be enough. A proper exercise regimen needs to be done at least three or four times a week to achieve truly tremendous results. Exercises like skipping help to shape the leg muscles but must be done on a regular basis. The key to beautiful legs is continuous exercise. You do not have to visit the gym or purchase fancy equipment. A few simple exercises will suffice.
Squats: These can be done with a chair or bench. Stand with your feet wide apart, at about shoulder width, and slowly bend your knees to come down to the height of the chair. The pose should look as if you are sitting on a chair, without actually doing so. Slowly return to your starting position. Repeat this action at least ten times and then take a break. Be sure that your knees and feet always face forward.
Sit ups: Instead of regular sit ups (which are done while prone on the floor), stand with your back to the wall. Place your feet away from the wall so that your knees form a right angle. Hold this position for as long as possible and then return to the starting position. This helps reduce the probability of back problems and also provides support and balance.
Lunges: Stand straight with both of your hands to your sides. Lift one of your legs up so that it is parallel to the floor. Initially, it may not be possible to have your leg completely parallel to the floor, but the important thing is to keep trying. Repeat the process with your other leg.
Stretches: For this exercise you need to stand facing a wall, about a foot away from it. Place your hands on the wall for support, then move one of your legs backward and keep it straight until you feel the muscles stretch. Only move your leg as far back as possible. Reaching too far back can lead to muscle strain. Hold this pose for ten to fifteen seconds and then return to the original position. Afterwards switch legs and repeat the process.
Always be sure to take good care of your feet. Keep them clean and moisturize them on a daily basis.
