• Dental care plan: You would be surprised to know that how come dental care is directly related to pregnancy. Taking care of teeth is something quite trivial and pregnancy appears to be different matter altogether. No, it is not.
You are supposed to take care of your teeth and gums, especially considering your state of pregnancy. Women suffering teeth related problems are seen at a risk of premature delivery. So, if you notice any bleeding in gums or pain in teeth, take a quick action and visit your dentist at the earliest—it can have serious implications.
• Diet plan: Eating fish is very beneficial for pregnant women. Mothers who ate fish during their pregnancy can expect their children to have good communication skills. Also, it is said that such children learn to speak quite early in their life.
• Self medication: You must be aware that self medication is not allowed for any pregnant woman. Even if it is a small headache or common cold, you are not supposed to take any medicines without consulting your doctor.
Pregnant ladies often suffer digestion related problems and constipation is very common in this condition. There are special medicines meant for pregnant ladies for all these problems and you are not supposed to practice self medication in any case.
• Big no: Say no to alcohol and smoking now. Both these are the enemies of your child and can affect your pregnancy in an adverse manner. Therefore, just avoid these two under all circumstances. As far as smoking is concerned, you also have to avoid passive smoking—be it at your office or at the home.
Try that you are not a place where someone is smoking. Passive smoking is even more dangerous for you and the child in your womb. The same applies to caffeine as well. You have to control your coffee intake during the day. Having one or two cups of light coffee is okay but do not go beyond this number.
