Building muscle is not just about gaining weight. It is about gaining the real strength and power, and for this you have to think long term. Many times, people adopt fast and furious ways of developing muscles with modern exercise equipments, and most of the times, they are able to get instant results. Today’s equipments in the gym are very useful, and they can fulfill your dreams quite effectively.
However, you have to know that the fast track modes of gaining muscles often do not work in the long run. There are many disadvantages attached to them. One that your muscle gain can come back to the normal once you leave your intensive exercise schedule, and get into the normal mode.
As a matter of fact, your muscles will just go back to the earlier days since you just triggered it with advanced techniques. The real strength development was not there, and you were not undergoing gradual development of muscle. This is the cause of concern for many of us – we leave exercise for a few days, and notice that your muscles are no more like that.
Therefore, it is highly advisable that you go slow and steady. Planning is everything as far as muscle building is concerned. You cannot afford to do anything and everything. Often, people start intensive exercise once they feel obsessed on gaining muscles.
The same applies on diet pattern as well. They start eating heavy food all of a sudden. The result comes in different forms. For a few days, you may feel good, but after a few days, you fall sick, and then whatever had done in the past few weeks tend to go in vain.
The principle that can work for you – Slow and steady. You may find people who just workout for a few hours in the week, or for an hour every alternate day, and they are better than you.
As you might be knowing that your muscles also need rest and not just stimulation. As far as diet is concerned, you should focus more on taking liquid diets. These can be thick banana protein shakes that provide you energy and strength during the day.
