Take ¼ tsp of turmeric powder and put it into a glass of hot water. Take this twice or thrice a day. It is an effective remedy for jaundice. This is one of the best home remedies for jaundice.

You can boil one cup of water and then put eight to ten leaves of lemon plant. Cover the vessel and leave it for 5 minutes. Drink this solution four to five times a day. This is useful home remedy for jaundice.

Make a paste of tender papaya leaves and take half tsp of this paste along with one tsp of honey. This is trustable remedy for jaundice.

The juice of bitter luffa is also good home remedy for jaundice. You can pound the bitter leaves of luffa and then squeeze them to extract the juice. This is to be filtered with cloth or any fine filter paper. The juice is to be inhaled through nostrils, which will cause a profuse outflow of a yellow colored fluid through nostrils. This is extremely effective in jaundice but is to be done under strict medical supervision.

Green leaves of radish are also another valuable remedy for jaundice. Leaves are to be pounded and their juice is extracted through cloth. ½ liter of the juice is to be taken by an adult patient suffering from jaundice. The treatment should be continued for at least ten days. This is one of the best home remedies for jaundice.

Tomatoes are another great remedy for treating jaundice. A glass of fresh tomato juice with a pinch of salt and black pepper is useful for treating jaundice. It is to be taken early in the morning preferably with empty stomach.

The leaves of snake gourd have been used to treat jaundice since years. An infusion is made out of its leaves by mixing 15 gm of dry leaves in 250 ml of water and then boiling it. Take this at a time for once in a day. This is one of the common home remedies for jaundice

Coriander seeds are put in ½ liter of water and then boil till it becomes one third. Take this decoction in the dosage of 30-50 ml thrice a day. This is very effective remedy for jaundice.

Many health experts suggest using the sugarcane juice in the treatment of jaundice. The juice helps recovering the liver faster from the disease. One should keep it in mind that sugarcane juice should be prepared in strict hygienic condition and it is to be consumed only when it is fresh.

Lemons are also beneficial in treating the jaundice. The patient is given 20 ml of lemon juiced diluted in water many times a day. Lemon has property to heal the liver.

Another good home remedy for jaundice is the barley water. For this, one can take one cup of barely boiled in three liters of water. It is cooled and then taken. Take this water several times a day.

On the initial stages of jaundice, a person is to be kept on juice diet. The juices could be of fruits and vegetables. This will give rest to the intestines and so the liver. Any organ in human body recovers faster from illness if they are given rest.

After the juice diet, one can go for very light diet. the diet with light carbohydrates and exclusion of fats is good to have in case of jaundice.

Oily, fast food, junk food, canned food, packaged food and food that is heavy to digest must be avoided.

Stimulating beverages like coffee, tea and alcohol are strictly contraindicated. One should also stop smoking.

Carrot juice is another one of the good home remedies for jaundice. Drink carrot juice regularly after meals at least for a month.

One should consume minerals like iron and calcium during the attack of jaundice. This will provide fast healing and enough strength.

Take an Indian drug Amlaki or Indian gooseberry in any form. This may include powder, juice or decoction. There are various other forms available in the market, which contains Indian gooseberry as main ingredients.

Combination of ginger juice, mint and lime juice is effective home remedy for jaundice.

Bitter gourd is also good home remedy for jaundice. Grind a bitter gourd and add water. Give this whole mixture to a person suffering from jaundice twice a day. This is one of the simple and effective home remedies for jaundice

One can also roast a bottle gourd in embers and mash it. Squeeze the juice out of it and add little sugar for taste. Drink it at a time. This is effective homemade remedy for jaundice. This is one of the useful home remedies for jaundice
