
The menstruation is nothing but monthly discharge of blood from the uterus of non-pregnant women from puberty to menopause. During pregnancy the menstrual flow stops and is major indication for conceiving. The normal menstrual flow lasts from 3-5 days and the normal cycle pattern range from 20 to 32 days.
The irregular menstruation is defined when a lady suffers from bleeding that is apart from the regular cycle; when periods are heavier or longer than the normal; when there is absence of periods, time between two periods is longer or shorter than the normal and if there is uterine bleeding. At both ends of the menstrual life of woman, the periods are irregular usually.
The periods can sometimes be a troublesome situation. It can bring headache or abdominal pain. Irregular periods are one of the most common problems among women.
