There are many common causes that can create the joint pain. Unusual exertion or overuse including sprains and strains are to name them. Injuries and fractures have joint pain as main symptom. Certain diseased conditions like osteoarthritis, septic arthritis, tendonitis and bursitis give raise to joint pains. The diseased conditioned found in big toe – gout may create severe pain on the joints.
Infections diseases like influenza, hepatitis, mumps, varicella, rheumatic fever etc. have significant joint pains as symptoms. The usual locations varies from the disease to disease. The commonest joints affected are wrist, ankle, knee, shoulder, hip and backbone.
