There are many types of feelings of pains. Like pinching, gripping, grinding and piercing to name them. There could be redness and swelling on joints. However redness confirms Pitta Dosha and swelling confirms Kapha Dosha involvement as described in Ayurveda. There will be difficulty in moving or climbing stairs. Ayurveda says there will be sphutan (crackling sound) in the joints.
