FOUNDATION:
Your skin is not all of the same color tone. Foundation does so much, so well. It evens out your complexion, makes flaws seem to disappear, making you look better. Some say foundation harms the skin by logging the pores. On the contrary, it may be good for your skin by protecting it from the sun and harsh weather conditions.

CONCEALERS:
Concealers come in shades to match every skin tone. These diminish the presence op pimples, marks and dark circles under the eyes. Concealers may be liquid, cream or solid (stick)

POWDERS:
Powder gives a finished, shine free look to make up. It sets the foundation. It comes in two varieties-loose powder and compact. The loose powder is best for a finished pore less look, but when you're on the go, compact (pressed powder) gives you a soft, beautiful look anytime.
Loose powder is applied with a puff where as the compact is applied with a brush using downwards movements, to minimize the impact of facial hair. The powder helps your make up look 'just put on'(fresh) much longer by stopping oil from coming through.

BLUSHER
Always start by using a little blusher and gradually build color to get the desired effect. Remember, it is always easier to add more to get the vibrant look.
There are two types of blushers:

CREAM BLUSHER AND POWDER BLUSHER

Powder blushers suit all skin and are especially good for OILY SKIN. Use powder blushers after applying powder
Cream blushers are god for DRY SKIN. Use it before applying powder

EYE SHADOW:

The shadow is applied only on the upper eyelid, leaving the space beneath the brows. If you wish, you may apply some shadow on the lower lash line to add color
Close your eyelid while applying shadow. Start from the centre of the eye lid near the lashes and go upwards till the crease of the lid leaving the space beneath the brows.
Apply some eye shadow with a thin brush, lightly beneath the eyes, next to the lower lash line, starting from the middle to the outer corner of the eye.

EYE LINERS:
Next comes lining pencils. Choose the color you like-black to soft grey or shimmery silver or golden.
Liquid eye liners which will give a well defined line are back in fashion. If you like a well defined line on the lids, go in for liquid eye liners

KAJAL:
Good kajal sticks give a dreamy look to your eyes. Put kajal on the lower rim of the eyes to complete the soft look. If eye liner is applied over the kajal put on lower rim, it defines the eyes very well. Open your eyes and apply the kajal inside the eye, next to the lower lash line. You may wear kajal along the full length of the eye or even keep it shorter-3/4, 1/2 or 11/4 of the eye.

TIP: To make small eyes look bigger put only 1/2 length-starting from middle to the outer corner of the eye.

MASCARA:
After kajal, mascara follows. Every one can take a little help from the cosmetic. It makes the lashes appear thicker and longer. Before applying mascara, remove all excess mascara by rubbing it on the sides of the bottle.

LIP COLOUR-LIPSTIC

The lipstick must be applied twice. After the first application, blot with a tissue paper. Place the tissue on the mouth and pres gently or press the tissue paper between the lips. After blotting the first application of lipstick, reapply. It stays longer by doing so. If you have dark lips, before applying lipstick, put some foundation and powder on your lips, so that you remove all color from your lips. The actual shade of lipstick will now not change on your lips. A pink lipstick will now appear pink on dark lips.

LIPLINER
Start with a lip liner in a color that closely matches your color of lipstick. Make the outline just outside your natural lip line. Now fill with lipstick and then blend. You
Outline your lips with a lip pencil-The same shade or just a shade darker than your lipstick. Define the center curve on the upper lip with two precise strokes.

A LIP BRUSH is a chisel-ended brush, usually with a lid or a retractable head to stop it collecting diet. Clean it by wiping off excess lipstick with a tissue and then rubbing in cleansing cream; wipe it clean with a tissue

AN EYE BROW BRUSH is for training the brows into shape and for removing excess powder.

PERFUMES -smell good and make yourself desirable. A woman is expected to use perfumes. Your choice of perfume also reveals a side or a part of you. Some have floral choices and some go in for masseuse deodorants and sprays during mornings, and at night wear exotic perfumes.

NOTE: Never apply perfumes on your clothes. Apply perfume at places where the body heat releases the fragrance like behind the ears, wrists, nape of the neck, temples and between your breasts. Apply perfume before wearing your pearls and jewellery
