about abnormal periods

| My friend is facing a problem in periods.Before marriage periods used to remain about only 3 days but after marriage thay are continuing for about 10 days every month.She is 29 and married for last 13 years.She has two children also.Please suggest me some nice medicines names to consult her. |

| The condition your friend is suffering from is medically termed as metrorrhagia. Such as hormone imbalances as in polycystic ovary syndrome or hypothyroidism or early pregnancy or an early miscarriage. It can also occur due to tumors or cancer, such as fibroids of the uterus, endometrial cancer, or cancer of the cervix or any trauma to the vagina as during sexual intercourse. Infections in the female organs like cervicitis or pelvic inflammatory disease can also cause metrorrhagia.
