Types Of Diabetes
Diabetes is a serious disease. There are 3 types of diabetes: 1) Type 1 Diabetes, 2) Type 2 Diabetes and 3) Gestational Diabetes.
Type 1 Diabetes: Type 1 diabetes was earlier also known as insulin-dependent diabetes. As the previous name suggests, in this case you have to depend on insulin taken from outside which means your body is unable to produce insulin. In Type one diabetes your pancreas does not function properly and do not produce sufficient amount of insulin. In some cases pancreas completely stops producing insulin.
Insulin is a hormone which is responsible to utilize sugar in your blood and convert into energy. Hence if your body does not produce sufficient amount of insulin then your sugar is not converted into energy due to which you feel deprived of energy and you also experience fatigue.
If blood sugar level in your body is not utilized and rises above normal level then it would cause great harm to your body. Hence it is very important to control blood sugar level through medicines or insulin injections.
Type 2 Diabetes: In this condition your pancreas produces insulin but your body is unable to utilize it. Millions of people are suffering from type 2 diabetes worldwide. Type 2 diabetes usually develops due to unhealthy lifestyle such as lack of exercise, lack of healthy diet etc.
People who do not exercise regularly are more likely to develop this disease. Also people who eat foods high in calories or fatty foods or oily foods are prone to develop type two diabetes. For many years this disease doesn’t show any symptoms. If you develop type 2 diabetes then you would be at the risk of suffering from kidney failure, cardiovascular diseases etc. Hence you should control your calories and fats intake and exercise daily to prevent diabetes.
Gestational Diabetes: This type of diabetes is experienced by pregnant women. It is not necessary that all pregnant women will suffer from gestational diabetes but most of them face this problem. Gestational diabetes is usually temporary and goes after the delivery. But for that you have to maintain a healthy lifestyle and eat healthy diet otherwise it can convert into permanent diabetes. You have to eat healthy foods and exercise regularly to control your weight.
