Breast Cancer and Nutrition

Diet is thought to be partly responsible for about 30% to 40% of all cancers. But diet alone is unlikely to be the “cause” or “cure” of cancer. Although more research needs to be done on diet and breast cancer, findings suggest that physical activity, a healthy diet (particularly one low in fat and high in vegetables and fiber), and a healthy weight can help reduce the risk of breast cancer or the cancer coming back.

Breast cancer is the most common cancer in women worldwide. Breast cancer is hormone related, and the factors that modify the risk of breast cancer when diagnosed premenopausally and when diagnosed postmenopausally are not the same.

Breast Firming Exercises to Increase Firmness

Gravity may get the best of you but a few simple exercises done every other day can keep your pectoral muscles firm and toned and your breasts above your belly button. While exercise do not increase the size of your breasts, the use of weights can strengthen the underlying muscles.

Breast Firm Exercises

Modified Push Ups - It is an excellent exercise for breast toning and firming. For doing modified push ups, lie down on your knees with arms extended out to the sides of the body. Make sure that the angle of push up is working the side of your arms where the arm meets the breast, and pressing the pectoral muscles slightly with each repetition.

Vaginal Dryness Treatment - Easy Ways to Treat

Vaginal dryness is a feeling of dryness or lack of lubrication. This may cause pain with intercourse, chronic vaginal infections, or feelings of tingling or burning.

A very common cause of vaginal dryness is lack of the hormone estrogen. Applying a vaginal estrogen-based cream can help relieve this dryness. Water-based lubricants also are effective for relieving vaginal dryness. Lubricants will moisten the vaginal lining for several hours, and the effect of a vaginal cream can last for up to a day.

Menstrual Pain Relief - How to Relieve Pain

Many women (up to 90%) have menstrual cramps. Most are simply due to menstruation itself and don’t indicate any underlying gynecological problems. The medical term for this is Primary Dysmenorrhea. Dysmenorrhea is from Latin words meaning “bad menstruation” .

Menstrual cramps are a very common problem for most adolescent girls and women. The cramps can be mild, moderate, or very severe. In fact, they are the single most common cause of days missed from school and work. Around 80 percent of the time, cramps are part of the primary dysmenorrhea syndrome. Cramps are caused by hormones called prostaglandins, which cause painful cramping of the uterus during menstruation.
