A Rejuvenating Treat
I thought to try out the holistic facial offered by Alpha Beauty which takes pride in having celebrity clients like Heidi of Sugababes who never misses out on it to get the nails done whenever she is in town. The place is like a fairy haven, a rather feminine retreat with cushions, chandeliers and cozy walls painted in pink.
The Treatment
Unlike the ordinary facials this beauty spa has some foreplay to offer. A gentle massage of the neck, shoulder and back is followed by the actual regimen. The massage helps to relax thoroughly. The proper facial includes opening the pores by applying a soft steam over the face and neck. Cleansing products from Dermalogica are used to remove the grime and dirt. This is followed by removing the dead cells using an exfoliating scrub.
After cleaning the skin thoroughly techniques of facial massage are used gently for proper lymphatic drainage and to rejuvenate tired skin. White heads and black heads are removed in the mean time. As the skin is supple at this stage this extraction is not painful at all. Extraction of tough grime and dirt is done with the help of a deep cleansing technique. Refreshing toner and moisturizer constitute the finishing touches.
Thus done, I started noticing a remarkable luster on my face. My eyes felt healthy and bright which is normally not the case because staring at the computer screen all day long makes it feel very tired. Normally I am always a bit apprehensive about facials because they make my skin feel utterly dry and tight followed by outbreak of rashes, but this holistic facial did not lead to such problems.
The results could be seen for days afterward. Make up also looked better because the canvas was improvised now. Compliments poured in regularly. With such astonishing results I plan to use this facial regularly.
