Banish the Rash
We use a lot of cosmetics everyday containing harmful chemicals. These graduate cosmetic reactions on our skin. Too much of makeup or cosmetics can ruin the skin. Read on to know how to cope up with it.
Symptoms:
Contact Dermatitis: It is a condition characterized by redness, itching and swelling of certain areas of the skin owing to contact with some chemical product.
Irritant Contact Dermatitis: It begins as itchy, red patchy skin and gradually swells up creating irritation. These may develop into blisters as well. This occurs if your skin comes in contact with an irritant substance.
Preventive Measures:
-Keep a track of the chemicals that have caused irritations before. Read the composition of the cosmetic product you’re using and make sure the irritant substances are not there.
-Always go for a “patch test” before considering any new product. Wait and see if any reaction occurs within 24 hours. This is very necessary and useful.
-Never apply perfumes on your skin. Apply it on your clothes.
-Always make sure to clean your hands before applying any cosmetic. Dirt is the cause of many reactions. Go for hypoallergenic hydra makeup. It should also be anti-acne. It is also more hygienic.
-Wear your makeup after wearing your contact lenses. Also, remove it before you remove your makeup.
-Keep your cosmetic containers tightly closed. Keep them away from sunlight and dirt. Also clean your cosmetic brushes often. Do not use too much of makeup around the eye contour area. This area is highly sensitive.
-Discard old makeup. It’s important to change makeup products every 3 months.
So, make these cues a part of your life and stay glamorous yet anti-allergic! Remember that nothing is more important than your skin and health. A healthy skin makes you look more beautiful. So, be careful and stay beautiful.
