Being a working mum
After marriage you must have had a gala time since your honeymoon, till your 1st newborn. During that time you did not have any responsibilities for your child. You have done your work at your office with less of anxiety, resulting in maximum output for your effort given at your work.
Well with the news of your child inside you, you must be wondering about how to balance the parenting along without affecting your work. Well, that should not be a difficult task as long you plan your parenting well in advance. It is obvious that you would be anxious about your baby when you are at your workplace, as you had to leave your baby while going to work.
For mums you get a chance to have one year as a maternity leave, can look after her child and also keep her updated about the company progress. She can receive updates from her colleagues about the daily developments. Industry news can be well sourced from available leading publications. Hence mums can keep themselves well informed during their parenting, and can adjust to the pace of their work while they rejoin. For some mums in these cases, the employer may offer a different position with a different pay scale while rejoining. So you need to find out well in advance about the position you are being offered, along with the pay scale.
While you go to work and your baby remains at home, you may have a sense of guilt in you, that you are ignoring your child and going to work. Well this is not the case. You should always feel proud, that you are out to earn bread and butter for your child. Always feel positive while going out for work, and remember that your child would always benefited in the long run. Just remember to arrange your baby’s childcare before you go for work. Your child may cry while you leave her and go to work, but very soon the child calms down. This is because, child’s are very adjustable.
