Most of us have almost no or little idea about the healthy habit of food intake. Being aware, and careful about the food you intake can save you from facing any health hazard. Fats are especially of two types: saturated and unsaturated fat. Saturated fats produce bad cholesterol in our body and this eventually leads to rising of cholesterol in blood. Animal fats belonging to meat and dairy products are saturated fats. Saturated fats can also be found in hard margarine, cooking fats and vegetable oils. You can simply understand the harmful effect of saturated fat by looking at a frying pan, when it is cold, after cooking of bacon or sausage is over. The fat is stuck in the pan in hard for. Things happen the same way when arteries get blocked due to deposit of bad cholesterol there.
You will find unsaturated fats in fishes and some vegetable oils like olive oils, rapeseed, sunflower oils and others. Unsaturated fats are generally of two main types: Polyunsaturated oils and monounsaturated oils. Some saturated fats are not at all required in our body and some fats like alpha-linoleic acids and linoleic acids are found in some oily fish and are good for our health, if taken in required amount. A qualified medical practitioner and a dietician can help you choose good fat for your consumption.
Consumption of more fish and avoiding saturated fats is a good decision for your health. Nuts and seeds oil are also good for health but when in cold. At certain high temperature, their chemical structure breaks and acts on our body harmfully. Olive oil is the best solution in this regard while cooking food with oils.
