Check your breasts with Breast Cancer Campaign
In this month of Breast Awareness, the Campaign on Breast Cancer urges all women to check their breasts and this becomes a very important part of the health care routine. You should be aware of your health and the wellness program. This should be an essential part of the health care routine. This program is anything but complicated. You have to only follow the five point code.
You have to know what is usually normal for you. You must also know the look and feel of your breasts and know what changes you have to keep in mind and look out for. You have to report the changes, if any without any delay. Any delay in reporting may cause unnecessary hassles. If your age is more than 50 years, you need to go for a regular breast screening.
If you want to know what changes you should look out for, it is a thickening or a lump which seems different from the rest of the tissue in the breast. You have to look out for continuous pain in the armpit or at one region in the breast. You should notice whether one breast has become lower or larger. You should notice whether the nipple changes shape or becomes inverted. The skin changes are generally dimpling or puckering. You also have to keep a watch out for a rash around the nipple or any sort of discharge from both nipples and one nipple.
In such cases, you have to visit the GP or a surgeon who can tell you the right treatment procedures you must go through. You have to bear in mind that if you find any of these symptoms, you should go in for treatment, on time. Otherwise it may get too late. Always remember that a breast cancer which is diagnosed in the early stage, can be remedied.
