That insufferable burning sensation in your chest, uneasiness in the abdomen can be done away with simple natural methods. This is caused by acid in the stomach that refluxes the food back and leads to acidity.

AVOCADO, THE MAGICAL FRUIT: It is known that bananas have defensive actions against heat burn in the stomach. But, another fruit that does wonder is avocado. It is effective in combating auto-intoxication. Being a light fruit, it is easily digested and makes you feel comfortable. It is also an excellent mouth freshener. Moreover, the oil that is extracted from avocado is used in beauty products like, moisturizers, anti-wrinkle creams, etc.

VEGETABLES THAT HELP: You should keep away from raw vegetables like onion, radish, cabbage, etc. Go for light vegetables preferably boiled. This reduces the chance of acidity.

COMMON CUES AND TIPS: Avoid fried fruits, spicy junk food and pickles. Never consume food in a hurry. This effects proper digestion. Chew your food properly. This helps in formation of the bolus. Consume a lot of fluid to keep yourself hydrated.

REGULAR CHECKUPS HELP: One should go in for a checkup after 35. Women should opt for it after 25. It should include a pelvic exam, lipid profile, blood sugar and urine test. Do not engage in self-medication. Always consult a doctor.

OTHER COMMON CHECKUPS RELATED TO ACIDITY:

OBESITY: BMI (Body Mass Index) is calculated to test obesity. BMI is the measure of fat in your body based on the height and weight.

CHOLESTEROL: Cholesterol checkups should start at 45. It is graduated owing to fat in the body.

BLOOD PRESSURE: Blood pressure should be included in regular checkups. It amounts for most of the ailments. A rise or fall in blood pressure will affect the digestive system hellishly.

STOMACH ULCERS: If you are eating too much of spicy food, you may graduate ulcers in the stomach. So, go for an ultrasonography as often as possible.

So, follow these natural rules and stay healthy!
