GET MOVING: The best way to burn those extra calories and stay fit is to jog or walk. If you find it a difficult task, then look for excuse to walk! Avoid using the elevator. It’s better if you use the stairs. You can park the car a little away from your office and walk the rest of the way. Another great way to sweat it out is to get an aerobics DVD and follow it!
BEAT THE STRESS: Stress is proven to be one of the most abundant reasons behind various ailments. High blood pressure, hypertension, bad headaches are all caused by stress. All you need to do is to beat it. Pamper yourself at a spa, meditate or join yoga classes. Dance is great way to exercise and to de-stress as well.
EAT HEALTHY: Indulge in a balanced diet. A balanced diet should contain proper amounts of whole grains, vegetables, fruits, protein, vitamins and minerals. Vitamin supplements are good for health but should only be taken after consulting a doctor.
REDUCE SODIUM: Cut down on sodium level from food. Salt increases blood pressure and also raises blood glucose level. This causes heart problems such as cholesterol, cardio thrombosis.
CUT SUGAR LEVEL: Avoid having too much of sugar. Do not indulge much into those sweet chocolate cakes or candies! Sugar is a monster and can cause various fatal diseases. If you want to your diabetes to be in control, use artificial sweeteners available in the market. These offer taste but are low on calories.
