Encourage the children to play outdoor games
Now is the time to take the children away from the computer or the TV and let them get some exercise and fresh air outdoors. The best outdoor activities can make your child enjoy the holidays. According to researches, the pre school children are putting on weight and moreover they are not much involved in outdoor activities. The physical activities and outdoor games are very important for the development of a child. Only eleven percent of the children spend a few hours in the weekend playing outside.
Richard Woolfson is of opinion that parents should start realizing that playing outdoors is very essential for the children as this gives them educational and social benefits. They can enjoy a large number of activities and games that are beneficial to their health as well as hours of fun. These are the basic things that help the child to have a strong future and an active adulthood.
With the coming on of the holidays, the parents start thinking how the kids can be kept away from too much of computer or TV. Here is the time to get them encourage with outdoor activities. Let them do that on a daily routine and they can have a lot of mixing around with children, their age.
There are some interesting ball games, that the children can play outside. They can play throw ball, dodgeball, hula hoops or try out a tournament at some local park.
Hopscotch is one favorite game, in which you have to hop around and chase a piece of stone on the nine squares. Hopping and skipping are also favorite games for children. Skipping burns calories and helps in burning fat down. Hopping also helps younger children. Hula hoops are children’s outdoor games that are a calorie-burner. This is the time for the children to enjoy a fun-filled healthy holiday from school and parents should make the most of it.
