We can step towards a better future by having a peek into the environment friendly aspects of the child’s nursery.

We can take up the options of “going green” with all the nursery furnishings and also baby clothes. The nappies and also the washing products can be environment friendly. Here is how you can care for the baby in an eco friendly way.

Going green is not necessarily limited to choosing eco friendly toiletries and products. The wood for the decorating products and homeware can come from the wood from the forests, sustainably managed.
You can get a lot of information on from the parenting products websites. So, if you are looking to redecorate the nursery for the baby, the paint should be toxin free. There are many websites online where you canfind information on such eco friendly paints. These have plant extracts, buttermilk, limestone, beeswax, pigments as the major constituents.

The carpets and the rugs should be made from natural fibers like hemp, jute or cotton which do not contain synthetic products. Natural bedding that do not contain residues of pesticides can also be used. A cot can
be purchased from wood brought from sustainable forests. You can choose safe flooring because the baby would spend most of the time on the floor. Carpets should not be used. Hard surfaces cannot be used. Natural toys, organic bedding and organic clothes have to be used.

Unprocessed, unbleached and untreated cotton can be used. You have to ensure that the dyes that are used are derived from the minerals and plants in nature.

The Chinese imported toys contain neurotoxin, lead which are harmful for the baby. Plastic toys also contribute to air pollution indoors. Wooden toys or plastic toys are the best for the kids. Bottles that are BPA
free or made of glass are the best for use for your baby.
