Female Orgasmic Disorder

September 1, 2008

You are said to have an orgasmic disorder when you feel the absence of arousal and also the absence of any orgasm even when there is sufficient stimulation and arousal. The disorder is not age related and this is not a part of the process of aging. In the U.S. around 25 per cent of women in the age group of 18 and 74 years of age would show some sort of dysfunction. High blood pressure, hyper tension could be a cause of the female orgasmic disorder.

The orgasmic disorder is also dependent on a few disorders in the body like Dyspareunia. This is genital pain which happens after and before an intercourse. This is a pain that recurs at every vaginal entry. The pain can be deep or superficial. This can be caused due to genital herpes, the penis causing a pressure in the ovary, other sexual diseases, hormone deficiencies, chemical irritation, urethritis, hemorrhoids, irritable bowel syndrome. And so on. There could be other causes like ovarian cysts, interstitial cystitis, overactive bladder, infections of the urinary tract, pelvic tumors, genital tumors, endometriosis, postoperative adhesions, fibromyalgia, inflammatory disease of the pelvic region, radiation therapy and so on.
It is very important for the maintenance of sexual health to find out the causes and treat this disease. This is very much required for the plan of treatment.

Orgasm is not a physiological reflex or an event. It is not quite comprehensible how many people are having this stimulation deficiency and not undergoing any orgasm due to that. Therefore in order to get a proper orgasm the other factors are also to be considered. And if the woman is satisfied from all the points of view and yet failing to get aroused, it should be some sort of physical depravity that is causing orgasmic problem in women. They would surely need professional help for a better and satisfactory sexual life.
