Find Out If You Are In The Right Relationship
It is important to know whether you are in the right relationship before you think about long term commitments. Some people are so excited at the thought of getting coupled that they rush into new relationships without considering the pros and cons.
There was a woman who met a terrific guy online. After a few months of mailing and sharing of personal data they met one day and liked each others company pretty well. They got off to a swimming start – Hanging out in museums, dining out, picnics etc. he was staying with a friend so they did not feel the pressure of physical commitment either. She even introduced him to her friends.
These people were in their mid-30s, so it was necessary for them to get serious about the relationship. After 2 months, the woman (lets call her Juliet) decided to spend a few weeks in her boyfriend’s (say Tom) home city. After 2 days, Juliet calls up her best friend Cindy, totally disillusioned with Tom’s lifestyle. Cindy responds by saying that she all the way that the relationship would not work out due to inherent contradictions in the couple.
The internationally best-selling author and sex educator, Lou Paget says that it is important to do a reality check to understand whether you are into the right relationship. The best way is to ask your best girlfriends whether they think that the man you are dating is right for you. They can give you an objective perspective, and can show you the right way if you care to take their advice seriously. Lou also says that it will be better not to get physical with your boyfriend too early if you really want a long term relationship with him.
You may tune in to “Making Love Happen with Lou Paget” for more tips on love and dating. This show is classy and informative and will definitely help men and women to judge the sublimity of their relationship by themselves. Had Juliet done the same she may not have been as much shocked.
