Get Out of your Obsession with the Outer Image
We are very much conscious of our body image in today’s era. Rather it would be correct to say that we obsessed with our physical appearances. Our friend, relatives along with the advertisements on our TV or on the pages of the magazines constantly remind us of some ideal social parameters of the body images. These make us more obsessed. Some times the obsession goes to such a limit that we start to hate certain things in our appearances.
It is true that physical appearance in today’s world is very important and we must try to improve it to make our self-dignity. A negative body image always haunts us and causes emotional distress, depression, anxiety and eating disorders. It even leads to suicidal tendencies. But there are definitely certain ways to improve your self image.
But before stepping forward you have to love your body. Definitely you may have certain flaws but that flaws don’t lessen your worth as a human being. Don’t programme your brain with the negative thoughts that may leads to severe negative effects.
Be positive and think optimistic. Focus on the plus points of your body instead of minus ones. And choose dresses according your plus pints. A right clothing would definitely make you feel better. If you don’t like your present hair style you may go to a good stylist who can suggest you a better look. You may also consult a cosmetologist for minor facial problems.
If you are ready to spend some money and take some risks you can certainly have a nice look by surgeries. But it is better to find the positive side of your body parts to avoid probable negative results of the surgeries.
A healthy lifestyle not only keeps you fit and slim, it also good for your hair and skin. exercise regularly and take sufficient rest so that you can utilize most of your energies. You may also involve yourself into some social activities so that others can recognize the inner you.
Most importantly do not loose your patience. You cannot have a flawless image within a day. It is a constant process. In the meantime remind everyday yourself that you are beautiful.
