Are you on pills for a long time and are you worried about not conceiving? Well here is some information that you would find relevant. Young women in the present  day often depend on pills for 10-15 years before they decide that it is right to stop all that and think of having a baby. Many women would fall pregnant quickly and some take a considerably longer time to fall pregnant. They seem to apprehend that pills have reduced their fertility. They often forget about years of regular periods that is painless, and also protection from unwanted pregnancies and from pelvic infections.

Of course there is no proof of pills causing infertility but they have to undergo certain physical problems that started just after they started taking pills. The women who had regular periods before will find that they have irregular cycles. Stress, health, weight gain can also alter the menstrual cycles in women.

Jenny, a fifteen year old girl took to pills because he periods were irregular and that came in the way of her school work and social life. She also had teenage acne which the GP felt pills like Dianette could cure. So when she marries at 25 and wanted a baby after that, she stopped taking pills but the periods did not come back. She had a weight gain and her skin became spotty and greasy.

Her GP advised her that people with polycystic ovaries have an imbalance in hormonal levels and this causes weight gain and irregular periods. There is testosterone secretion in increased levels that can cause excessive hair growth on the stomach and the face. A low fat diet and a regular exercise regime would help the sufferers to ovulate regularly and Gonadotrophin injections and Clomid tablets may help. It is advisable to consult your GP immediately. With loss of weight after some exercise, Jenny conceived after her first wedding anniversary.
